Witness accounts

The renowned American interior designer, Juan Pablo Molyneux, was kind enough to publish this article in Architectural Digest in November 2000.
“We talk the same language", explained Juan Pablo Molyneux referring to upholsterer Charles Jouffre in Lyon. “They are professionals and really understand the meaning of interior design and architecture". Molyneux has called on the upholsterer in the Duchesse Brisée boutique in Paris for some of his more difficult projects. The designer recently ordered several curtain and sofa creations for New York, Long Island, Chicago, San Francisco and Mexico. “We have a very wide ranging clientele”, explains Charles Jouffre, who started in 1987. “We work in virtually all styles and periods, from the 18th century up to decidedly modern compositions".
The company can now be found in France, New York, Morocco and recently Dubai and two years ago it acquired the famous St. Germain boutique, Duchess Brisée. “This place has always had a magnificent image which matches our aspirations fully”, adds Mr. Jouffre. “It also means that we are present in several areas of Paris".
